Ladakh Valley Tour

Day 1 - Arrive at Delhi

On reaching Delhi, the capital city, you will be given a traditional welcome. Thereafter, our representative will assist you from the airport to our hotel for your check in..

Day 2 - Delhi to Leh

We will fly to Leh early in the morning. Our representative will be at the Leh airport to guide you to the hotel. After some rest, we will take a walk around Leh town and visit the market there as well as the Palace ruins, the Shanti stupa and Le Gompa. The walk will help you get acquainted with the altitude.

Day 3 - Leh to Shey to Stok

We will drive to Shey, Ladakh's ancient capital, which is 16 km from Leh and see the monastery there. It has a huge golden statue of the Buddha with a silver lamp that is burning before it. Later we will drive through the bridge over the river Indus to Stok. At Stok we will see the Palace as well as the Museum. After lunch, we will trek, for four hours to the Stok La Base.

Day 4 - Stok La to Rumbak

We shall trek for six hours from Stok La to Rumbak , a tiny sheperd village, which is 16 km away.

Day 5 - Rumbak to to Gand La to Skiu

We will trek to Skiu by crossing the Gand La after an early breakfast.

Day 6 - Skiu to Hermoger to Sase to Marka

We will trek to Marka, passing through both Hermoger and Sase on the way. The distance is approximately 15 km and and will require around six hours to cover.

Day 7 - Marka to Omlung to Hankar

From Marka we will trek via Omlung upto Hankar. We will cover the 12 km distance in six hours.

Day 8 - Hankar to Nyamling

We will trek today for six hours from Hankar to Nymaling

Day 9 - At Nyamling

We shall be free to discover our surroundings. To trek to the glacier at Kangyatse , a permit is required from the IMF.

Day 10 - Nyamling to Kongmor La Pass to Chugdo

We will climb to the Kongmor La Pass, from where we will proceed to Chugdo.

Day 11 - Chugdo to Oza to Sumdo to Hemis to Thiksey to Leh

We will travel 13 km to Hemis, touching through Oza as well as Sumdo. The journey will take six hours, and at Hemis we will visit the famous monastery. From here we shall drive to the monastery at Thiksey which lies enroute to Leh. We then drive back from here to Leh.

Day 12 - At Leh

The day can be spent in leisure until lunchtime. In the late afternoon, we will visit the Phyang, Shankar and Spituk monasteries.

Day 13 - Leh to Delhi and Back Home

We will fly back to Delhi. At Delhi, we will take a tour around the old city. A guide will accompany us. Delhi is a thriving metropolis possessing a unique combination of ancient and modern . At New Delhi, we will visit the Raj Ghat, take a drive the India Gate and visit the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humanyun. Then after a late dinner, you will be taken to the Delhi International Airport.
